Important :- Foreigners arriving by air should register at the airport itself.
DO`S :-   Tourists in their own intrest are advised not to fall prey of unauthoriszed touts, unauthorised agents  and guides at tourist arrival places such as airports, railway stations and bus stands.
Have your reservation done always in advance.
Ensure correct rates before hiring any transport.
Always deposit valuables against proper receipt with the management of Hotel, House Boat or Guest House you are staying in.

 

DON`TS :- Don`t be misguided by un authorized agents while shopping.
Don`t wander in the streets late night.
When travelling in a bus from Jammu to Srinagar do not embark enroute.
Don`t go out with people who are unknown.
Do not encash foreign exchange with unauthorized agents.
